Priestly's mouth quirked up again. "Um, my mom... She wanted to meet you, Luke. I told her I'd met you waiting for coffee and I guess she thought it sounded like I like you so... She wants to give her seal of approval."
Priestly led him back over to the other end of the room where a woman was lying, her eyes half open. She looked very similar to Priestly, though her hair, what was left of it, was a light grey. She smiled tiredly. "Ah, the young man that my son seems so smitten with already."
"He's a character. Though I worry about him being in the rain with all that metal in his body." She joked. Priestly turned even redder, covering his face with his palm. "I'm never letting you meet anyone again, mother. See this, this is why I never dated in high school."
Priestly dragged him away finally, shaking his head. "I am so sorry. She's got no filter, and I don't... Really talk about my friends very often, so when I mention meeting someone new, even in passing, she clings to it like it's going to be THE ONE."
